Yvette Arey Yvette Arey from Portland, OR
Ling’s wisdom, grace and indomitable will taught me to live each day to its fullest. She was a treasure and a wonderful sister. Although I know Maya Angelou did not know Her personally, the final verse of her poem When Great Trees Fall seems to have been written with Ling in mind. And when great souls die, after a period peace blooms, slowly and always irregularly. Spaces fill with a kind of soothing electric vibration. Our senses, restored, never to be the same, whisper to us. They existed. They existed. We can be. Be and be better. For they existed. Love Yvette
